Denver Alumnae Chapter Scholarship

Please click here to access the scholarship application.
In spring 2011 the Denver Alumnae Chapter of Delta Zeta Sorority established an annual fundraiser with the purpose of creating a scholarship fund for the women of the Rho Chapter.  The purpose of the scholarship is to assist individual women with sorority expenses in emergency situations.  Women may request up to $250 at one time and initiated members are eligible to receive the scholarship only one time.  We hope to be able to increase the amount of scholarship money in this fund in the future.

Delta Zeta National Philanthropy

Delta Zeta Foundation-The  Delta Zeta Foundation provides funding for programs and resources that promote academic success and personal and leadership development.  Unrestricted gifts allow the Foundation to expand its programs while meeting the increasing needs of Delta Zeta mambers through such programs as:

Greek Life Edu, Tell Me Something I Don't Know, Collegiate Presidents Academy and the Alumnae Academy, plus ongoing support of the Educational Leadership Consultant Program.  To learn more about the Delta Zeta Foundation or to donate please click here.

Philanthropic Partnerships-Delta Zeta National Sorority supports:
The Painted Turtle Delta Zeta adopted The Painted Turtle as a national philanthropy at the Sororities 2006 National Convention.  The Painted Turtle is an innovative medical specialty camp and family care center for children who have chronic and life-threatening illnesses.  Many collegians and alumnae volunteer at the camp collecting needed items for philanthropy.  All campers and families attend free of charge.  The Painted Turtle camps is associated with Paul Newman's Hole in the Wall camps.

    - The Starkey Hearing Foundation is an important part of Delta Zeta's national philanthropy for speech and hearing.  Alumnae and collegiate chapters fundraise to support the Starkey Hearing Foundation's worldwide hearing missions which provide hearing aids to deaf and hard-of-hearing persons with limited financial resources. Alumnae and collegiate members also make Build A Bears with hearing aid attachments so that children receiving hearing aids can have a 'furry friend just like them'.  (photo at right is Denver Alumnae building bears on March 13, 2011)

    - House Ear Institute In 1985 the House Ear Institute, located in Los Angeles, California, became a philanthropic partner.  Our first project for the Institute was the furnishing of a parents' conference room.

    - Gallaudet University Since 1954, Delta Zeta Sorority has partnered with Gallaudet University in Washington D.C.  It is the worlds only university with undergraduate programs accessible to hearing-impaired students.  In 1995, the Delta Zeta Dance Studio at Gallaudet was dedicated.

Delta Zeta Regional Scholarship

Scholarships- In Colorado we are part of Delta Zeta's Region IX.  The Region IX Scholarship Committee needs our help!  This scholarship is a one-time scholarship of no more than $400 to be awarded to an active member to assist in emergencies such as family illness, death in the family, loss of jobs, etc.  The money is paid directly into the Delta Zeta's college chapter account.  We will work as an alumnae chapter to assist this scholarship fund, if you wish to contribute you may send a check to Diane Stecher  6003 Kensington Way   Imperial, MO  63052.

Denver Area Panhellenic (DAP) Philanthropy and Scholarships
